Career Management
Have you ever wondered what you should do with your life? Most of us have to figure it out as we go along, and that can be a scary process.
Self-knowledge is the key to figuring out what you really want to do, versus what you or others think you "should" do. Once you know your personal and work values, strengths, and interests, you can connect to your goals and start working towards what you find meaningful.
Whether you are just starting out in your career, looking to transition to another field, or wanting to create a life after retirement, I can help you develop your plan. The knowledge and resources contained within it are a starting point as you, and your career, continue to evolve.
Your choice of career affects every part of your life, and your satisfaction and happiness matter.
The HOPE Model
The HOPE Model provides a career coaching framework that takes participants through five separate steps. Hope, which is in the center of the model, provides the momentum and encouragement needed for a participant to make progress in the other five areas. Without Hope, a participant may struggle to achieve their career goals.
The HOPE Model makes it possible for a person to gain self-clarity by reflecting on their career progress and skills to date, which can then lead to their envisioning a preferred future. Focused goal-setting and planning, through the creation of SMART goals and an action plan, provide a roadmap that the participant can then implement and adapt. Hope is present throughout this entire process and provides the impetus for success. I use this framework with all of my clients and find that it helps provide structure while also managing expectations.
